About us

Haymay Creamery is rooted in the foothills of Western Maine, where childhood memories run deep. Kate grew up here, swimming in lakes and rivers, skiing at the local mountain, playing in the woods. It's a place where a kid's imagination can run wild. For Kate, this land isn't just geography, it's a return to the community that raised her, and to the kind of childhood she now wants to pass on to her own children.

Together with her husband, Zack, Kate returned to Maine after nearly two decades of learning the art (and science) of cheesemaking in Vermont. The small farm they found is full of promise: rolling hills, a hidden pasture, heritage apple trees, and plenty of work ahead. It's here that Haymay's story begins to take shape, a life of farming, family, and cheese.

Wally

An old-school alpine with a rugged heart - firm, nutty, a little cheddary, and made for melting into everything.  Balances sweetness with a savory, cheddary edge.

Moxi

A Maine-made nod to cheddar — bright, versatile, and built for everyday use. Tangy flavor and smooth melt make it endlessly adaptable.

Whimsy

Washed in cider and curiosity, Whimsy is funky and fruity with a tender bite.  Whimsy balances creamy richness with subtle cider sweetness and a touch of funk.
